Technical requirements

You need a recent version of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). The JRE 5.0 for Linux and Windows OS can be downloaded from Sun. The Mac OS Panther version (10.3) comes bundled the JRE 1.4.2.

Installation

After downloading, double-click on the installer package and follow instructions.

Note for Mac User: please install the PIMWalker in the 'Applications' folder. If you install it elsewhere you will have to adapt the 'cd' command shown below before launching PIMWalker.

Running the software

    Windows OS
Once the software is installed, use the Windows Explorer to open the home directory of PIMWalker, then double-click on 'runpw.bat' or use shortcut.

    Unix-like OS (Linux - MacOS X Panther)
1. open a command line session (go to folder 'Applications/utilities' and launch 'terminal' program)
2. go to the PIMWalker directory: 'cd /Applications/PIMWalker/PIMWalker-1.0.6' (Mac OS X)
3. grant execution right to command file: 'chmod +x runpw.sh' (only once)
4. run the command: './runpw.sh'.
